The bar design is used to re-align the tunnels cavities in alloy cylinder heads in 5 minutes after welding and straightening.
The bars provide a very substantial cost reduction whilst ensuring an exact, non error ease of refitting the camshaft.
At the normal time of 1-2 hours setting up and line boring by skilled staff, time can be reduced to less than 5 minutes.
The bar, 800-1000mm long, is merely placed along the length of the head and moved back and forth, twisting the bar with the movement of your wrist. Once the bar seats, the job is finished.
Diamond coating spiraled down the bar will provide an immediate finished surface.
The diameter of the bars are exactly the dimensions of the tunnel cavities and come in a range of different sizes. There are 8 main sized bars which cover the full range of current engines. Other sizes can be made to your requirements. The full set of 8 bars is US$16,000.00 ie US$2,000 each.
